This community flower garden utilizes principles of low impact urban gardening, while also demonstrating that lots can be done on a small budget! Each month the community horticulturalist works with center members around solutions that work for the New York City Housing Authority [NYCHA] houses. This includes at-home and windowsill proprogation. The winter season horticultural classes are one the most popular offerings, and they keep participants involved, active, and engaged in healthy living year round.
