Female Empowerment Movement

In 2010, we started a dialogue with some local organizations about how to better address the challenges some women in this community face around mental and physical abuse, drug addiction, and prostitution. Momentum began to build quickly, as women from inside and outside the community began to pool resources, ideas, and relationships. The first FEM Event took place in the Fall of 2010 with future events, workshops, and more is planned for 2011!
